You’re invited – Eco-Innovation North West – 2-day Interactive Workshop at North Lakes

Cumbria Chamber in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University’s Eco-I NW project are holding a 2-day Interactive Workshop at North Lakes Hotel, Penrith on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd June (10am-4pm).

The workshop is designed to help Cumbrian SMEs begin their sustainability journey through the development of a sustainable net-zero action plan, with a particular focus on innovation. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The programme will cover: the basics of the climate emergency; understanding your business and its environmental impacts; identifying opportunities for innovation; and developing an action plan with short, medium and long-term goals.

The project will also give technical insights into emerging technologies including hydrogen and fuel cells, 3D printing, emission reduction technologies and circular economy business models.

Following the workshops, participating businesses will also have the opportunity to apply for further support and work closely with Manchester Met academics to develop a proof-of-concept plan for a specific innovation.

So, if you’re interested in learning how your business can adapt to the threats and opportunities posed by the climate emergency, register your interest here. A member of the Eco-I NW team will be in touch with you to discuss the workshop in more detail and to finalise signup. There is no cost for eligible businesses to attend as the project has secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
