Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Westmorland and Furness Council, is hosting the second in its 2025 series of business briefings on Thursday 10th July at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith, from 10am to 12:30pm.
The event builds on the success of last year’s session and will offer valuable insights into local business support, funding programmes, and collaboration opportunities for entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
Key topics will include:
- Tourism-led collaboration – Jim Walker, Chair of Eden Tourism Network, will share how local tourism businesses are working together to boost the area’s visitor economy, and how this approach could be adopted across other sectors.
- Updates on business support – including programmes from Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Enterprising Cumbria, and Westmorland and Furness Council.
- Open discussion and Q&A – covering devolution, skills needs, support gaps, and how wider regional developments (such as Barrow’s growth) might shape opportunities here in Eden.
The event is free to attend, but places are limited.
