The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers

The top 100 apprenticeship employers is a celebration of England’s outstanding apprenticeship employers and recognises their commitment to creating new apprenticeship opportunities and taking on a diverse amount of apprentices.

At the top 50 SME apprenticeship employers features the country’s leading small and medium sized companies that offer apprenticeship programmes.

Beginning in 2020, this prestigious ranking was developed by the department for education in partnership with High Fliers research, who independently assess and rank the top employers.

In 2022, more than 550 apprenticeship employers from a wide range of industries and business sectors entered for the rankings – from engineering, manufacturing and technology, to accounting & professional services, health & social care and retailing.

Entries are now open for the 2023 rankings and you can enter via the official entry form.

The new rankings will showcase the leading apprenticeship employers – large and small – that have done the most to provide apprenticeship opportunities over the past 12 months.

The entry deadline is Friday 24th March.

The 2023 rankings will be announced during a special live broadcast in the summer, with a celebration lunch at the House of Commons in the autumn for employers ranked in the new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers.
