Penrith Industrial BID Launches New Business Watch Initiative

In a bid to foster business community collaboration and fortify security measures, the Penrith Industrial Business Improvement District (BID) recently launched its new Business Watch initiative. The initiative, akin to the well-known Neighbourhood Watch program, aims to unite businesses on the Penrith Business Parks in partnership with Cumbria Constabulary and the Rural Crime Team.

The launch event, held at Castleton Community Centre on 10th January, was attended by key representatives from the BID, Cumbria Constabulary, and local businesses. Sarah Farrell, Administrator for the Penrith Industrial BID, highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts, emphasising the effectiveness of a united front against criminal activities.

Commenting on the launch, Sarah Farrell at Penrith Industrial BID, expressed enthusiasm for the collaborative efforts:

“The Business Watch initiative is a proactive step towards strengthening security on the estates. By joining forces with local businesses and law enforcement, we create a robust network that fosters a safer working environment.”

The Penrith Industrial BID encourages all businesses on the estates to actively participate in the initiative, utilise the provided security measures, and engage with future events aimed at enhancing community security.
