NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Qualification

Those completing this training are entitled to Associate membership and Technician membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health

The training is delivered in-person on the 30th October to the 8th December at Rheged Centre, Redhills, Penrith and is free for those self-employed or unemployed, SMEs pay a contribution of £220 +VAT and large businesses pay a contribution of £660 +VAT.

Unit NG1: Management of Health and Safety

  2. How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
  3. Managing Risk – understanding people and processes
  4. Health and safety monitoring and measuring

29 hours tuition, 20 hours recommended self-study time and an open book assessment

Unit NG2: Risk Assessment

  1. Physical and psychological health
  2. Physical and psychological health
  3. Musculoskeletal health
  4. Chemical and biological agents
  5. General workplace issues
  6. Work equipment
  7. Fire
  8. Electricity

39 hours tuition, 20 hours recommended self-study time and 3 hours assessment time [practical assessment].
