Mastering Management: Develop Your Leadership Skills
Taking on a management role can be both exciting and challenging. Whether you’re new to management or looking to strengthen your existing leadership skills, the Mastering Management workshop from Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is designed to provide practical tools and insights to help you lead with confidence.
Taking place on Tuesday 6 October 2026 at the J36 Conference Centre in Crooklands, the full-day workshop will cover key aspects of effective people management, from navigating your first 90 days as a manager to managing performance and building high-performing teams.
What will the workshop cover?
Delivered by Coach Tim, who has experience delivering workshops across three countries, the session will explore:
- Understanding team dynamics, behaviours and different ways of working
- Building and leading high-performing teams
- Developing your Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to improve communication and relationships
- Creating effective Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
- Managing remote teams and maintaining connection and productivity
- Addressing poor performance and supporting improvement
- Making a confident start during your first 90 days as a manager
