Cumbria – Leading the way to Net Zero

Lord Inglewood, Councillor Mark Fryer (leader of Cumberland Council) and Councillor Jonathan Brook (leader of Westmorland and Furness Council) are hosting an event on Cumbria’s lead towards net zero.

Set for Monday 11th September from 9.30am – 3.30pm, the event will discuss Cumbria’s contribution to the UK’s net zero campaign, including how the area already creates 5.6% of the UK’s current clean energy, how there are major projects in the pipeline to increase this energy generation and also the ambitious plans to decarbonise the natural capital.

All of these combined means that Cumbria is in a unique position in the UK to lead the way on net zero.

So, join the event and get the opportunity to hear from those in our area at the forefront of this exciting change and drive towards net zero.

We’ll see you there.
