BID’s First Golf Competition Success

BID’s first golf competition was a roaring success!

Friday 2nd September saw the inaugural Penrith Industrial Estate BID Golf Competition at Penrith Golf Club

There were 24 participants coming from various companies across Penrith Business Parks.

Playing in teams of 2 in a Better Ball competition, the BID Trophy was up for grabs and the winners (after a count back) were Ian Williams and Matthew Cook from Travis Perkins (as pictured).

With glorious weather and the course in excellent condition, all who attended thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks go to A W Jenkinson’s for sponsoring the Nearest the Pin & Longest Drive holes and City Electrical Factors for donating some prizes.

The event also raised over £300 for the Great North Air Ambulance.

Hopefully, the golf competition will become a regular event in the BID networking calendar.

But, don’t worry if you missed the event this time round. You’ve got an entire year to get practicing before the next one, and who knows – maybe you might be our trophy winner next year.

So, polish up those clubs and we’ll see you next time round.
